webmaster1 Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 I deleted an ftp account and it's associated files. I didn't realize that it was associated with my root directory which is now empty. This was suggested in another forum: We have the cpanel hook script /scripts/prekillacct created, which does a backup of the account just before deleting it. That way, if you delete an account accidentally, you still have a copy of the account which you can restore. Is this just a custom script he's referring to? webmaster1 Posted April 21, 2010 Author Share Posted April 21, 2010 Good news folks. cPanel can restore files using the R1 restore option whether or not you've automated any prior form of back-up.
