I need some one to give me a really simple guide to setting up the latest version pf MySQL community server so it works with PhpMYAdmin and joomla

I am running on windows 20087 server with IIS7

When I run the phpinfo script I get this back for mySQL it does not look correct,  what can I do to correct that using MySQL command window I just need to be able to have Joomla connect with out going through so many hoops

Below is the MySQL section extracted

Directive Local Value Master Value

mysql.allow_local_infile On On

mysql.allow_persistent On On

mysql.connect_timeout 60 60

mysql.default_host no value no value

mysql.default_password no value no value

mysql.default_port no value no value

mysql.default_socket no value no value

mysql.default_user no value no value

mysql.max_links Unlimited Unlimited

mysql.max_persistent Unlimited Unlimited

mysql.trace_mode Off Off

Am I right in thinking that the Default account needs to be setup, I can create a database, add user etc  but it looks like the default is missing,

Also Joomla and phpmyAdmin cannot connect

Joomla needs the database to be @localhost which is what I created, but I need your help, there is something not setup  properly preventing Joomla from connecting at all

Can someone guide me through a mySQL set up so that the end result allows me to connect with Joomla

Your help is appreciated

Andrew
