swampone
Checking my website stats, its clear to me that the successful request for a pages, which is pretty much hits to my site, is not adding up. The number is way to low. It only shows 7 total hits to my pages in the past 30 days. Can this be because every page on my site is .php and not .html? Is there an article of some type that would remedy this? Should I worry about it when I start advertising, when number of impressions is key? cags
What are you using to calculate the website statistics? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/200010-page-hits-not-adding-up/#findComment-1049767 Share on other sites

cags
Does it explain how this is calculated, are you certain you've had more than 7 unique IPs hit your site? swampone
I won't be near my computer for couple of hours, but soon as I get there I will reply with more detailed results. But I'm very sure that I have surfed my own site more than it indicates on this web stats. The way I understand it, is successful request for page is every page viewed. As I type this I remember that, the failed request for page was a high number. Could my script be causing it to register as a failed page view? Although all the pages show up fine. cags
Possibly, or as I alluded to in my previous post it may log unique hits, thus however often you're visiting the site, that's 1 visit. New Coder
Try google analytics. I found them very useful as it gives unique and individual hits Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/200010-page-hits-not-adding-up/#findComment-1049856 Share on other sites
swampone
Im pretty new to this... So correct me if Im wrong. Distinct Host Serve is a unique hit, and Successful Request for Pages is plain hits, meaning a single user flipping through pages can generate multiple hits. Im looking at my stats now, its only showing in the last 30 days I have 21 successful request for pages. And in the last 7 days its showing only 4 successful request for pages. Although my site is new, I have easily outdid this number surfing the site myself. Now the failed request in the last 30 days is 120. And 54 in the last 7 days. These numbers are more close to my guess-ta-mation of what the stats should be right now.
