Hi!

 

I'm Erica Douglass, and I write a popular online business blog. I'm looking for a critique of the design and layout of my site. What do you suggest I change, add, or subtract to make my site function even better?

 

The main goal is to get people to sign up for my free Blog Success Manifesto--a 62-page ebook that shows you how to grow your blog faster than ever before. Secondary goals are to gain more email subscribers and loyal readers.

Main things i personally would change if it was mine:

 

The header, with the tree in. On one side it fades, on the other it is a solid line, it doesn't look right. Maybe it's that, or the tree just doesn't go very well.

 

In the section in the side menu where you download your PDF, the big yellow button doesn't go with the rest of the sites theme, maybe the same button in a blue would look better. Goes for the readers thing too.

 

Apart from that it's nice.

I think its quite nice really.

 

Some things i would improve are:

I agree with the above comment, the download now button in the sidebar doesnt really fit in. I suggest to change it to the same bluish color also

In terms of the header image, i think it needs to be a bit more slowly faded out on the right, it seems too sudden for me.

One last thing is with the nav menu. The colors used by themselves seem too harsh. Try creating a repeated gradient to soften it out.

 

Apart from that i like it. Well done
