Help with $thumb alt tag

Hello!

 

Total newb here. I am trying to create (for SEO) purposes a default "alt" tag to appear on these images as it currently defaults to display the source as the alt. I hope someone can help

You're not showing the code in which you're defining the ALT attribute.
