weird css problem

Weird problem with my form dissapearing in ie.

if you go to the search at the top it should pop out in firefox you can select values and trhe form stays there if you try in ie when you select a value the form dissapears, can any one help me

I know what it is, because some of the drop downs go out side of the form and you click on it, it then thinks you have clickedoutside the link search link and then closes it.

 

can anyone point me to a tutorial that shows you how to properly popout a form when you hover over a link
