kristen Posted June 14, 2010 Share Posted June 14, 2010 Hello, Does anyone know what might cause a slow connection when attempting to load a page? This is the page - http://www.parentguidenews.com/Calendar/NewYork/NassauCounty/. If you look at your status bar after you hit "Go", you'll see that there is a long delay while the browser is "Connecting..." then a pretty short "Loading..." before the page comes up in full. I just don't understand it. All of the pages on the site are pretty ad-heavy and will have a long-ish loading time while the images download, but none have the "connecting" lag. JonnoTheDev Posted June 16, 2010 Share Posted June 16, 2010 Start by removing elemets from the page, such as the search script, etc. If the page load time decreases then you will be able to pinpoint the bottleneck as you restore elements of the script.
