Can't find Jquery script for making fisheye effect with text

I was reading this tutorial http://www.ndesign-studio.com/blog/css-dock-menu but I'm trying to find something that will do the same effects with text. Then I found this http://www.webappers.com/2007/10/29/nice-list-of-open-source-fish-eye-menu/ collection of tutorials and there's one fisheye text version but the tutorial page is unavailable..

 

Does anyone know a tutorial for fisheye text or know how to make it work?

This wouldn't be that hard to write yourself using jQuery and you where looking for a place to start.

@Thrope, yup I had made my own using animation() but sometimes it lags. When you hover over a text more times it loops through the animation even when the mouse is off, unlike the script using images. I revised the code until I lost it but I'll keep tyring as I'm learning Jquery
