JasonLewis Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 This is tough, tougher then I originally thought. For some projects, deciding on a name for when you release it isn't too hard. Some come easy. But for some projects, it's hard to think up a good, and usually, attractive name. Look at Apache, Google, Microsoft, Sony.. and pretty much anything with a name. Some are easy to see where they got the name from, others not so much. What I want to know, is peoples personal methods for coming up with ideas and then deciding on a name for a project. For example, if I was coding a forum I would call the folder 'forum'. Doesn't mean I'm going to release a forum system called 'Forum' though. Normally, a good name is a name that pops into your head randomly and it sticks. It can take a while for that to happen though. I did find this fairly, kind of, not so much helpful tool.
