Editing Compressed XML

Hi guys

 

Im using a tool that compresses its XML output file, i would like to read and edit this XML file; is there any tools out there that let you edit compressed xml ?

Oh and does anyone know if you can submit image file locations in Google site maps and can you have meta keywords because i got a warning the other day.

 

if i rename the file .zip and open it, it creates a file with the first 200 lines or so uncompressed so the algorithms nearly close.
