loop through the $_POST array

Ok having a bit of a mental block here...

 

print_r($_POST) looks like:

Array ( 
[length] => 18 
[level] => 5 
[last] => 8 
[ability] => 5 
[independant] => 5 
[time] => 5 
[pear] => 5 
[contribution] => 1 
) 

 

My mind is fried today.

What I need from the array is both components, eg:

 

[length] => 18 

 

Length is the name of the field in the mysql table and 18 is the value.

 

I know this is really basic but how set a loop to get both values, I can't just manually go through the $_POST array because it changes upon user input (both field name and value)

 

Any pointers here would be very much appreciated (as usual  )

Can't you do this?

 

foreach($_POST as $key => $value)
{
// Do something with each $key and $value
}

yes, yes i can.

 

Thanks a bunch, I've not actually used the foreach before, so far just only required the for loops.
