Is WAMP actually designed to be Internet facing, or was it initially just setup as something you could install to set yourself up a local environment.  I'd have thought with all the components, there's no reason why it shouldn't be, but just wondered.

Advice to MySQL users: Get phpMyAdmin and test your queries work there first, take half the hassle out of diagnosis, also check the reserved words list.

I have read wampserver forums, and I got some informations saying it's not safe to actually use it as webserver.
It just for testing scripts..
