ejaboneta
We have several people writing for a blog on our main website. We want to feature the blog on another site we're building. On the new site, I was thinking of having the introductions of each blog entry with the links leading to the full article on our main site. Does this make more SEO sense than the new site having its own complete blog section with the same articles? Or should it have its own unique articles? Also, any suggestions of a good forum on SEO? JonnoTheDev
Does this make more SEO sense than the new site having its own complete blog section with the same articles? Duplicate content is a bad thing. Inbound links with relevant keyphrases in the anchor text is a major part or SEO. I would write snippets for your articles / blogs and use them for inbound links on external sites. Generate an XML feed from your target site so you can use it for external sites. Also, any suggestions of a good forum on SEO? SEO pros will not give away their secrets on forums! There maybe forums with general chat regarding search engines, etc, you will have to Google them out. ejaboneta
So you are saying, yes, one site for blogs with the other site linking to it... What are the general chances and timeframes for success without Blackhatting it? lol...... JonnoTheDev
What are the general chances and timeframes How long is a piece of string? Are the sites pointing the inbound links already ranked? Are they indexed? If you obtain a link from a high ranking site, the chances are that your site would get indexed overnight as Google will be revisiting the site daily. I would suggest using Googles webmaster tools, generate sitemaps, etc. Do the same for Bing, yahoo, etc. When you post articles / blogs to your site make sure you ping them to the likes of http://pingomatic.com/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/210464-seo-multisite-blog/#findComment-1098432 Share on other sites
