Load specific DIV from an external page into another page

i found codes on the net for loading external files in a page

but not sure about loading an external file's specific DIV(s) in a page

it's really important

or if smn can tell me what term can i use to search about it

help will be highly appreciated

Really in order to a specific DIV you would have to load the entire external file, and trim it down so the output is only that specific div...

so far i can load the entire file

This is simple using jQuery. Its load() method takes a url optionally followed by a selector.
