Ost Posted August 27, 2010 Share Posted August 27, 2010 I know how much you people hate/love Noobs on these Forums, I personally hate it when Noobs come on these Forums and ask stupid questions but i am about to do so, please before answering take into consideration i have never, ever touched PHP once. I am a graphic/logo designer and would also say I am "familliar" with HTML. I am looking to create a basic PHP website with a shopping basket for myself just to get used to PHP. All I am after to start with, is a list of requirements which I need to buy/download as I dont understand all the MySQL, Databases, eCommerce. trq Posted August 27, 2010 Share Posted August 27, 2010 You never did mention what OS your using, but if your just getting started your probably best off downloading a pre-configured bundle like Xampp (Google for it). This will install all the basic software you need. A web server (Apache) PHP A Database Server (MySQL) From there, theres a good book in my signature (Hudzilla) that should get you started.
