Rifts
Hey everyone this is a really random question but I have searched google intensely and can not seem to find what I am looking for. I am looking for simple arcade like games written in PHP that are open source. thanks for the help
trq
PHP isn't exactly a very appropriate language for writing that sort of thing with. I would doubt very much there would be much (if any) around.
Rifts
hummm ok well do you have any ideas of what I could search for? I just dont want flash games but I want to be able to play through browser?
trq
Sorry, I don't play games. This board is for help with third party code, not help finding it.
RussellReal
flash would be your best bet.. but you say you don't want flash? I know of a guy who made an actual playable version of Super Mario Brothers in JavaScript, but that must be such an outstanding amount of code involved.. if he had made it in javascript it'd have been s much less code, more likely more efficient, and could have built more, with less you will not find any "arcade style" games written in any other language except Java and Flash for playing within the browser

Alex
There are a bunch of JavaScript libraries written specifically for creating games. Here's one that's made for JQuery: http://gamequery.onaluf.org/
