I am currently developing a CMS with a few people. However, I wish to put that aside for a month or so and learn PHP a bit better. Can anyone suggest a fairly "easy" project for me to do to learn a bit more about PHP? rwwd Posted September 8, 2010 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Hi, Look for something by Luke Welling & Laura Thompson, I have a copy on my desk that I am always referencing, though there may be more up to date books out there. Just go to somewhere like amazon and use search terms "php and mysql web development". Then just look through. Have fun. fortnox007 Posted September 8, 2010 Share Posted September 8, 2010 My newest and fun to read book is "Head first Php & mysql" from oreilly. Really nice and fun but maybe to easy for you. I think i am gonna buy an OOP book after I am done with this one. But I am also looking for a good (referencing) up to date book still. I also have Dreamweaver CS5 that kind of helps with understanding how classes work, and how to use the built in PHP classes.
