DarkMantis
Hi all, I am an intermediate PHP Programmer, but I'm now stuck with getting any further. I am currently developing a CMS with a few people. However, I wish to put that aside for a month or so and learn PHP a bit better. Can anyone suggest a fairly "easy" project for me to do to learn a bit more about PHP? Best Regards, DM
ignace
As you clearly have had sufficient practice it becomes obvious you need to seek other ways to advance, consider training or books. rwwd
Hi, Look for something by Luke Welling & Laura Thompson, I have a copy on my desk that I am always referencing, though there may be more up to date books out there. Just go to somewhere like amazon and use search terms "php and mysql web development". Then just look through. Have fun. Cheers, Rw
fortnox007
My newest and fun to read book is "Head first Php & mysql" from oreilly. Really nice and fun but maybe to easy for you. I think i am gonna buy an OOP book after I am done with this one. But I am also looking for a good (referencing) up to date book still. pornophobic
I learned OOP with PHP through practice, and php.net. I also have Dreamweaver CS5 that kind of helps with understanding how classes work, and how to use the built in PHP classes.
