xjake88x
Should I always use HTTPS when users are inputting credit card numbers & billing info? Do you know any sites that don't use HTTPS? I just want to know if it's a total no-no for web applications. Discuss. the182guy
IMO yes use SSL for the transmission of credit card details. There are a lot of sites that don't though. If anything bad should happen then you would be able to demonstrate that you took precautionary measures to maintain reasonable security for customers card details. roopurt18
HTTPS must be used for any sensitive data. Any site that isn't doing so is at major risk of major problems.
