Just a suggestion, but to add security to your hard work add this following bit of code:-

include_once(ROOT_DIR. 'includes/common.inc.php');

//sanitise user inputted data - do the WHOLE array!!
$_POST = array_map('strip_tags', $_POST);
$_POST = array_map('mysql_real_escape_string', $_POST);

//these are noe DB/sql safe
$id = $_POST['id'];
$name = $_POST['name'];

Seriously, security - it's worth it...

thanks i gt to work but now i am having this problem

ok so after that if no errors i inserted the script that unlink the image from the folder but is giving me error is on the wrong place again??

Delete photo failed. You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 5

if($_FILES['image'] ['error'] === 0){

      // remove the image and the thumbnail from the server
      $sql = "SELECT id, image

           FROM drivernew

           WHERE id = {$_GET['image']}";

define("GALLERY_IMG_DIR", "./images/");

      // remove the image and the thumbnail from the server
      unlink(GALLERY_IMG_DIR . $row['image']);

      unlink(GALLERY_IMG_DIR . 'thumbs/' . $row['image']);

//start upload process
//define a maxim size for the uploaded images
define ("MAX_SIZE","100");

<?php

if($_FILES['image'] ['error'] === 0){

      // remove the image and the thumbnail from the server

   $result = mysql_query($sql)
