WHERE clause help

i have a column in mysql called 'reply'... i want to select a rows with the word "car" in the reply column. 

 

e.g. i have the inserted in the reply column a full paragraph with the word car in it.

 

 

how do i use the WHERE clause?

 

below will only delete if 'car' is the only word in the column.

$deletebad1=  mysql_query("DELETE FROM `Stacks` WHERE `reply`=''car") or die (mysql_error());

i'm having trouble getting this to work.  i want mysql to delete a row where the word 'example' is within a paragraph of a column.

 

e.g. in the column reply.. it has a paragraph with the word 'example' in it.

 

$deletebadreply1=  mysql_query("DELETE FROM `Reply` WHERE `reply` LIKE '%example%'") or die (mysql_error());

 

i tried the above and it isnt deleting the row.  how do i resolve this?

enable error_reporting set to E_ALL and display_errors set to ON and look for possible errors.

 error_reporting(E_ALL); 
ini_set("display_errors", 1);

I can't found any error in query, Few things I want to know

1. is table name is 'Reply' and column name is `reply`

2. is there any records in database with value of 'Example'
