lit108 Posted October 16, 2010 Share Posted October 16, 2010 I am writing a piece of code to display rss feeds on a website. However when I run the script I get this error message Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' regarding this section of code function display($numrows,$head){ $rss_split=$this->parse(); $i=0; $rss_data='<div class="vas"><div class="title-head">'.$head.'</div><div class="feed-links">'; while($i<$numrows) { $rss_data.=$rss_split[$i]; $i++; } $trim=str_replace('', '',$this->feed); $user=str_replace('&lang=en-us&format=rss_200','',$trim); $rss_data.='</div> </div> '; return $rss_datal } The error is refering to that last curly brace, any help identifying a solution would be greatly appreciated. naike Posted October 16, 2010 Share Posted October 16, 2010 function display($numrows,$head){ $rss_split = $this->parse(); $ i= 0; $rss_data = '<div class="vas"><div class="title-head">'.$head.'</div><div class="feed-links">'; while($i<$numrows) { $rss_data .= $rss_split[$i]; $i++; } $trim = str_replace('', '',$this->feed); $user = str_replace('&lang=en-us&format=rss_200','',$trim); $rss_data .= '</div> </div> '; return $rss_datal } Try this. Also are you sure this part is correct: $rss_data .= '</div> </div> '; Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pawn Posted October 16, 2010 Share Posted October 16, 2010 You are missing a semi colon after return $rss_datal. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
naike Posted October 16, 2010 Share Posted October 16, 2010 You are missing a semi colon after return $rss_datal. Nice, I didn't notice even though I tried to pay attention to those mistakes as I do them often Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
