galvin Posted October 21, 2010 Share Posted October 21, 2010 If I need about 5 email addresses and want to use Outlook and want to be able to have my email on my blackberry, do I HAVE to use hosted exchange email? If anyone knowledgable can explain the pros/cons to using it, please let me know because I don't want to pay a monthly charge just to use email if I don't absolutely have to. But maybe it's a necessity if I want it on my Blackberry??? I have a domain name for my website, so for example, if my website is mywebsite.com, I want the email addresses to be in the format of myname@mywebsite.com. Not sure if that has anything to do with the answer to my main question, but just letting you know in case Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Mchl Posted October 21, 2010 Share Posted October 21, 2010 The point is to be able to use Blackberry's internet service to push the emails to the phone (a service that you often get free of charge or at a flat rate). I'm not sure really. My mobile operator let me configure any number of IMAP/POP3 accounts, but I suppose this might depend on your operator.
