mkswanson
I have the following information that is being returned by an LDAP query: [code]Array ( [count] => 1 [0] => Array ( [givenname] => Array ( [count] => 1 [0] => John ) [0] => givenname [objectsid] => Array ( [count] => 1 [0] => åÒÔz…ÿ&KIó¸ ) [1] => objectsid [count] => 2 [dn] => CN=John Doe,OU=ABC Users,DC=abcinc,DC=local ) ) [/code] I need to programatically extract "John" from the first line of this, and can't seem to get it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks! Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/217029-php-array-manipulation/ Share on other sites
AbraCadaver
$name = $array[0]['givenname'][0]; Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/217029-php-array-manipulation/#findComment-1127235 Share on other sites
mkswanson
I knew it was something easy, but couldn't get it quite right. Thanks! Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/217029-php-array-manipulation/#findComment-1127250 Share on other sites
AbraCadaver
I knew it was something easy, but couldn't get it quite right. Thanks! The easiest to see the nesting with this: highlight_string(print_r($array, true)); If you need it to where you can copy and paste the output as code, then I use this: highlight_string(var_export($array, true)); Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/217029-php-array-manipulation/#findComment-1127261 Share on other sites
