trq
Nowhere in any of that code do you execute any database query Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/220979-array-not-being-inserted-into-database/#findComment-1144297 Share on other sites
trq
Sorry, I see it now. Is this all within a class? What does the $this->db->insert() method look like? Buddski
I just had a quick glance.. but i noticed that straight after you connect to the database you close the connection... $link = mysql_connect('host', 'user', 'pass'); if (!$link) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } $db_selected = mysql_select_db('database'); if (!$db_selected) { die ('Can\'t use beta : ' . mysql_error()); } echo 'Connected successfully'; mysql_close($link); Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/220979-array-not-being-inserted-into-database/#findComment-1144301 Share on other sites
gg39
Sorry, I see it now. Is this all within a class? What does the $this->db->insert() method look like? Hello thorpe, $data = array( 'title' => 'My title' , 'name' => 'My Name' , 'date' => 'My date' ); $this->db->insert('mytable', $data); That's supposed to produce: INSERT INTO mytable (title, name, date) VALUES ('My title', 'My name', 'My date') I just had a quick glance.. but i noticed that straight after you connect to the database you close the connection... $link = mysql_connect('host', 'user', 'pass'); if (!$link) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } $db_selected = mysql_select_db('database'); if (!$db_selected) { die ('Can\'t use beta : ' . mysql_error()); } echo 'Connected successfully'; mysql_close($link); Hello Buddski, Forgot to take that off before I posted it on here but even without that line there, it still doesn't populate the table. trq
Again. Is this code even in a class? It doesn't look like it. $this means nothing outside of a class. Have you get error reporting on at a development level so you can actually see errors?
