PFMaBiSmAd Posted December 19, 2010 Share Posted December 19, 2010 It is not very efficient to do a directory scan and access session data files, and it is even more inefficient to actually open and read through each of those files. There could literally be hundred of files, some expired but not yet cleaned out and some for active visitors. What overall goal are you trying to accomplish, because there is probably a better way of doing it that does not involve reading session data files. I was just trying to have a clear mind of all the session functions and opportunities related. thats all I thought it would may become handy with a tracker system.... BlueSkyIS Posted December 19, 2010 Share Posted December 19, 2010 using session functions usually has little or nothing to do with actually reading the session files. i don't believe i have ever opened a session file, but i use sessions all day every day. you might want to google php sessions for explanations and tutorials.
