Footer adjustment

Hey!

I’ve tried customizing a really great CSS layout from Matthew James Taylor, so that the footer remains at the bottom at all times, but I’m having some issues with it.

Can’t really locate the problem, and I've even asked Matthew himself for a solution, but he told me that, as far as he's aware of, his method of a "static" footer at the end of each page is not compatible with the particular CSS layout of his that I'm using at the moment.

The problem I’m having is that the footer “overwrites” the content of the columns and the #body div I’ve made (my #body tag is wrapped around the #colmask rightmenu div). As if the content of the col1 and col2 classes doesn't push the footer downwards.

Check the link, I’d appreciate ANY input or ideas of how to solve this problem. If anyone has an alternative way of incorporating a well-written footer into this layout, I'm all ears as well. :)

Thank you!

Cheers,

Bassa

It should be fairly obvious that I'm attempting a workaround to achieve a 100% vertical height, so I'm not quite sure what you're trying to indicate.

Perhaps you've got an idea for a constructive solution?

hi bassa, maybe i can be of help. Though you second question seems different than in your first post. That first question is a bit fague though in the way what do you mean with overwrite.

concerning your second question. I see you have given the footer a height of 100px so in what way do you mean correspond to vertical height and of which the body? the wrapper, the div above it?

Could you maybe tell what you like it to be in a more clear way. :)

People aren't going to be into helping very much after a snappy reply like that.

How about 'thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for because of A and B'.
