dsdsdsdsd
hello ... I have a table with european characters in it. when I query the table and echo the result to html, I get strange results. in the attached image you can see the special character in the db ( on the left ) that gets converted ( on the right ). my table is set to collation = utf8_general_ci and the column in question = utf8_general_ci my php script calls: mysql_set_charset( 'utf8' , $my_db_connection ) ; any thoughts? dsdsdsdsd
bingo... added: <meta http-equiv = 'Content-Type' content = 'text/html; charset=UTF-8' " > this particular script was not intended as a public webpage, but rather just as a dashboard for me, and so I did not have <html/head/metas> in there. thanks, Shannon Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/226937-getting-special-characters-out-of-database-to-html/#findComment-1170927 Share on other sites
