Special reason for using GET method in form tag

can anyone tell me any special situation, when a GET method should be used but not POST method or vise-versa  in a form tag of a php file?????

Basically, the get method appends the data to the URL, so, if that is useful to you (I.E. you want to parse the submission with javascript on the next page) you would want to use it, or if you wanted to be able to save the state of the form submission for the user.  Bookmarking a get submission allows returning to that state, but bookmarking a post submission does not.
