Passing selected index value to a function parameter

Hi all,

  I am in a need to pass the selected value of a list box as a parameter to a javascript function when the function is called with onclick().

  The function is used to add to the cart the product details.

  The function should be called without the form submission.

  Please someone suggest me some ideas.
