tsoltysiak
Hi, I recently received some a disturbing message about my website. Unfortunately it was in my cPanel filemanager, when I noticed a new file that I didn't place there, that had the following message : "Note To Admin : plz , Patch Your Site ..." It has me worried, as someone was able to upload a file to my website, the same one into every directory. I'm assuming that means they also are able to over-write or edit my current files. How do I protect my site from this? Thanks for your help, Thomas Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/235146-patching-a-website/ Share on other sites

KevinM1
A few things: 1. Are you securing your web forms? Are you sanitizing incoming $_GET and $_POST values? Are you escaping data you're storing in your database? 2. Change your FTP password. Be sure to choose a strong password. 3. Contact your hosting provider to see what additional steps they'd recommend, and to give them an alert to your situation.
