hoponhiggo
I know its a big ask, but can anybody propose the best way to create a 'friends' system on my site? I already have my users table with: Userid (primary key), Username, password etc Could i have a table called friends which will store the userid of a specific user and then all the userids of linked friends in the same row? I should say im a total newbie! Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/235771-friends-table/ Share on other sites
fenway
Usually you store both side of a link, one pair per row. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/235771-friends-table/#findComment-1213925 Share on other sites

I'm assuming they mean each side of link aka friendship. I.e; person 1 | person 2 a | b a | c a | d b | d c | d ect.
