MasterACE14
Google search comes up with this... http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpexcelreader/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/241287-how-to-open-excel-specific-sheet-in-php/#findComment-1239473 Share on other sites
monkeytooth
That excel reader is a damn good script. I've used it myself (if its the one I think it is) and I was actually going to suggest that myself. Issue with that script though is it only comes purely basic needs you need to know PHP in order to alter it enough to do specific tasks such as the case of only wanting N39 example of that reader in action http://chrishacia.com/demo/xls-reader/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/241287-how-to-open-excel-specific-sheet-in-php/#findComment-1239504 Share on other sites
gristoi
There is a much better package that i have been using for the past year or so is is called PHPEXCEL : http://phpexcel.codeplex.com/ . This set of classes allows you to do pretty much anything. I used it for formatting and styling multi sheet reports. Adding functions into the cells. Works on pretty much and version of excel doc. monkeytooth
Gritso I have seen that one.. It is actually a nice package. I gotta say for me it was a pain in the $*($ to use but that may be Due to me being in a rush to push something out when I did. Generally speaking I wouldn't advice someone at a novice level to tackle that package though. I could be wrong though might be easier to use then I remember. gristoi
I understand that it might be a bit complex for a novice. but the download does come with a ton of example scripts that they can go through. Is just one of many options. my personal preference - nothing better than a steep learning curve lol Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/241287-how-to-open-excel-specific-sheet-in-php/#findComment-1239557 Share on other sites
