mrmark01
Hi folks, This is a really dumb question but I can't figure out the answer... I'm attempting to display an image on a html page using css below is the code CSS #image { background-image:url(images/smallimage.gif) no-repeat; } HTML <div id="image"></div> Basically the image isn't showing on the page... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, M
wildteen88
Set a width/height to div#image or add some content to the div for the background image to display.
guyfish
Are you sure that the image and the css are in the same file? If not, please add ... the head of "image".
JasonLewis
A good way to determine if things are not loading correctly is to use Firebug. You can then inspect the element and it'll show the URL to the background image in the CSS panel. Hover over this, if it loads then everything is good and you probably need to do what wildteen88 has mentioned.
