Server authentication

Hello,

 

i am trying to send email upon user registration on my site.

 

i am getting the error:

SMTP server response: 503 This mail server requires authentication when attempting to send to a non-local e-mail address.

from searching around i found that i should insert something like:

but i don't know how, where to code this...

Firstly, we have

tags that you should use when posting code. Notice how all the other posts are nicely formatted and easy to read?

 

Now, on to your issue. PHP's mail function cannot send email via mail servers that require authentication. You will need to look into and use a third party library such as SwiftMailer (Google it).
