Who8MyFish
So I use a homebrew media player for my .mp3 files (iTunes blows OMHO) and the only problem I have yet to tackle is that this upload field I use to move songs onto the server eats up ALLL my upload bandwidth and prettymuch cripples whatever network I happen to be on until I'm finished uploaing my stuffs. Anyone know of a technique to throttle upload speed?
Sogo7
I believe there is an Apache module, but that's not a practical solution for anybody on regular shared hosting. There was a Firefox plugin http://firefox-throttle.en.softonic.com/ though no idea if that's compatible with latest releases and a software package called 'Traffic Shaper XP', alas this does not appear to like running on win7 but alternatives may exist. QuickOldCar
There used to be a free version of this, not sure if is or not, but I assure you this will work well and limit the speeds on any computer on the network from gobbling up all your bandwidth. http://www.cfos.de/en/cfosspeed/cfosspeed.htm And this free one still works on Windows 7 even though is not listed. http://bandwidthcontroller.com/trafficShaperXp.html
