Restaurants who receives the order, receives on a web based order management application i have build They get notified with a sound that gets played that says "New Order", each time a customer places a new order. I currently have a java script code that plays a sound file for each new order that gets made. But the problem is that it does not work on all browsers... some browsers needs a quicktime plug in, and when it does play, it slows the computer down, or sometimes the sound file breaks up.
