$Password = md5($Password);

mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$Username' AND password='$Password'");
$login_check = mysql_num_rows($sql);

if ($login_check > 0) {
//check if activated.
}
i need to check if the 'Activated' field of the user is 1. i.e, if the user who is logging in has actually activated their memberhsip. how do i do this?
<?php
$sql = "SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$Username' AND password='$Password'"
$q = mysql_query($sql);
if($q){
  while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($q)){
    if($row['Activated'] == 1){
      // It is activated
    }
    break;
  }
}
?>
Then it's obviously not activated.
<?php
$sql = "SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$Username' AND password='$Password'"
$q = mysql_query($sql);
if($q){
  while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($q)){
    if($row['Activated'] == 1){
      // It is activated
    }
    break;
  }
}else{
  // No record found
  echo 'You need to register!';
}
?>
