Hi,

I'm trying to convert a string containing chinese characters to hex using PHP.

example:

t = 0x74

e = 0x65

s = 0x73

t = 0x74

简 = 7B80

test简 = 0x740x650x730x747B80

e.g. if the string was test简, the output should be 0x740x650x730x747B80

I'm using the GET function to set the string. e.g. website.com/test.php?string=test简

You might be wanting to take a look at bin2hex () or pack () for this one.

Though, I do wonder why you want to do this, as I suspect you're making it (whatever it is you're doing) more complicated than what it needs to be.

What you want is the code point, not the hex value, in that case. You'll need to figure out either how to convert from the hex value to a code point, or how to retrieve the code point directly from the binary data.

I suspect the former will be the simplest.
