Exclude Html Out A Excel Export

Can anyone help me. I have this code to export into Excel. Need to find a way to remove the html from the description field on the export. The code gives me the data I need just want to remove the html. Here's the code I'm working with

I don't see any HTML. I'm guessing it is in the description in the database.

 

Have a look at the manual entry for strip_tags
