Need to find a way to remove the html from the description field on the export. The code gives me the data I need just want to remove the html. Here's the code I'm working with $items_sql = $db->query("SELECT * FROM " . DB_PREFIX . "items WHERE active=1 AND closed=0 AND approved=1 AND is_draft=0"); $out =""; while($details = $db->fetch_array($items_sql)) { $out .=$details["item_id"].','; $out .=$details["name"].','; $out .=$details["nb_clicks"].','; $out .=$details["category_id"].','; $out .=$details["price"].','; $out .=$details["description"]; $out .="\n"; } header("Content-type: text/x-csv"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=items_list.csv"); print $out; exit; } Thanks Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/269501-exclude-html-out-a-excel-export/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
DavidAM Posted October 15, 2012 Share Posted October 15, 2012 I don't see any HTML. I'm guessing it is in the description in the database. Have a look at the manual entry for strip_tags Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/269501-exclude-html-out-a-excel-export/#findComment-1385375 Share on other sites More sharing options...
