yshua
Dear Solver people: Must be something simple. Here is the error message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\includes\db.php on line 6 for the following code: <?php $mysql = mysql_connect('localhost', 'root', 'mypasswordtofithere'); if (!$mysql { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()) } $db_selected = mysql_select_db('mydatabase', $mysql); if (!$db_selected) { die ('Can\'t use Selected Database : ' . mysql_error()); } ?> Can someone please spot it? Thanks, Yshua Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/270345-simple-parse-and-syntax-error-someone-can-spot/ Share on other sites
Pikachu2000
You're missing a closing parenthesis after !$mysql, and a line terminating semicolon on the next line.
