Data value passing

I have one html form and once i press save the button of the form, the information will be stored into the database, but now i include one function into one of the .php file and i need this function to change some of the data value and then only insert into database.

but how to assign the new data value, can i code like this
$_REQUEST["id"]=$new_id_value;

$_REQUEST I believe is like $_GET which gets their values from a URL.

So you would use them like this:

[code=php:0] $myValue = $_GET['id']; [/code]

The rest of it I am unsure of what you are asking.

That is not what i want, i am not asking how to get the data but want to change the data.

I am a little unclear on what you are asking, but yes, you can set values in $_REQUEST.  That will affect any files included by the your script.

[code=php:0]$_REQUEST['id'] = '12345';
include "page.php";[/code]


page.php will see $_REQUEST['id'] as '12345', instead of the previous value.

Must I use include, is there any other way which the change can be made to all .php page, i mean once the value is changed, wherever the page i am in and call it, it will show the up to date value.

You want more of a global variable?  Set it ones and then all pages after it's been set will use that value?
