ldoozer
Hi all, I have a .com website hosted in the US with a php page calling from mysql database. I now need to do a .co.uk version of the site hosted on a different server. Thing is i want both sites to use the db from the US server. I tried just copying the php pages to the UK server and changing the host from local host to the ip of the US server but this didnt work, just get a error saying cant connect to DB. Any one have any ideas why this might be.Please ask if you need more info.Any help greatly appreciated. ToonMariner
ask your web space provider for the correct host details - they may also be security preventing connection from external servers - email them and see what they say.
