haroon310
Hi I want to include a php file (basically my personal header) above the phpbb forum header. The file where I am inserting the code is "page_header.php" which is located in the includes folder. (file attached in this post). If I insert the following code: $root = realpath($_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"]); include "$root/top.php"; I get what I want but the font color of all the topics posted in the forum change from black to white (making it unreadable). How can I rectify this conflict and how is it happening? Thanks (I am new to php) page_header.php Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/287030-include-a-php-file-creates-a-conflict/ Share on other sites
Ch0cu3r
This is not a PHP problem. It is most likely to do with the CSS your using to stylise your header, which is applying the white text color. This is most likely overriding the text for your posts too. To prevent this you will need to write specific css selectors to only apply the white text color to the header and not the whole page Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/287030-include-a-php-file-creates-a-conflict/#findComment-1472883 Share on other sites
haroon310
if i dont insert the include code then everything is ok. Its only after insertion of the code that it messes up. cant find anything wrong with the css file (pasted below) /* The original subSilver Theme for phpBB version 2+ Created by subBlue design http://www.subBlue.com */ /* General page style. Ch0cu3r
This is could be why <BODY bgcolor="#ffffff" TEXT="#ffffff" LINK="#ffffff" VLINK="#ffffff"><font face="Arial,Helvetica"> TEXT, LINK and VLINK attributes will set the text color to white, which could be overriding the text color defined by your forums css.
