When nesting a div how do I turn off the on click event for the inner div?

Hello

It sounds like you want to remove an event handler?

If so here are some options:

1) IF registering events with jquery .on() then you can use jquery .off to remove the event temporarily

2)If you simply wish to stop the event bubbling then you can use e.stopPropagation() method which will stop the bubbling of a child element executing parent element click handlers.

Hope that helps - possibly with more clarity I could help more.
