I have mysql installed.  I have just installed myphpadmin and put it in IIS root.  When I go to myphpadmin default page it cannot run the scripts.

I need to install php I guess, but really have very little idea.  Did some searching, but had some difficulty, what is the quickest and easiest way to install php to support my just installed myphpadmin?

Have you not considered using XAMPP and IIS together? - it should be possible...

That will be find if the OP was not going use IIS.

@hardya look at the following guide in the PHP documentation for how to configure PHP with IIS

http://php.net/manual/en/install.windows.iis7.php
