Recommended Posts

hello and good day

want to buy an  Ordroid HC2 besorgen -to build up a NAS /Samba Whatever-Server
which stuff you would buy with the ordioid - what should i order at the beginning!?  - in order to do more things with the Ordroid?

here a little list

  • ODROID USB IO BOARD, PIC18F45K50-QFN
  • ODROID-XU4 Einplatinen-Computer, SAMSUNG Exynos 5422, 2 GB, 2x USB 3.0
  • ODROID-U3 SHIELD TINKERING KIT
  • ODROID-U3 SHIELD ...
  • ODROID-XU4 SHIFTER SHIELD
  • ODROID-W Docking Board

look forward to hear from you

well ordroid does not support RAID  - we only could use certain hd

well - i want to do more with the Ordroid more than only creating a NAS

If my only target would be a NAS then i could buy a WD Server solution.

A  MyCloud of the newest Generation runs on Samba more than 100 MB/s  GBit LAN -

but wait: MyCloud not based on a open architecture...

this is the main goal of Ordroid - it is based on true linux

what do you say

I don't understand what you mean by "doesn't support raid."  Do you mean that it doesn't support in the linux kernel certain specific raid controller hardware?

Raid in Linux can be done using software with MD.    I would think you simply need support for SATA drives.
