[ resolved ] Trying to do a simple language file

Hi its me  bugging you all again ;)

im trying to do a simple language file this is a test language file i have:

[b]language.php[/b]
[code]
<?php

define("test", "testing");
?>
[/code]

in my index i put something like this iguess:

[b]index.php[/b] (not complete index just an example)
[code]
<?PHP require_once("language.php");?>
echo ".test."
[/code]

is this correct, or is there some other way to do this?

No it is not correct, since the echo statement is outside of PHP. I believe you want to do something like:

[code]<?php
require_once('language.php');
echo test;
?>[/code]
