what server are you using?

If it is apache you would need to edit/create your .htaccess in your htdocs directory (publicwww? whatever your main directory of your site's files are.) Edit the line that says "DirectoryIndex blahblahblah.asp" if you dont have this line then add it yourself... "DirectoryIndex yourpage.php"

If it isn't apache I can't help you... you might want to check your server docs.

If this is a windows server. 2000, XP or 2003 it will be done in IIS. If it is IISV5.1 open IIS and goto your website, right click and select properties. Select Documents tab and click Add button. Type in whatever your startup page is example,  index.php, default.php etc. ensure you move your .php page to the top. Click Apply button and OK. Stop your IIS and then restart our IIS. Test your site.
