Bootstrap treeview height limit

Hi

 

I use bootstrat treeview which is build upon a databse query.

I have no idea how many nodes will apear at the treeview.

I limit its size by using min-height and overflow-y:scroll in the css file

it all looks good when the nodes are folded. but when i open a node it exceed the limit i declared.

Does anyone has an idea how can i limit the height of the treeview no matter if nodes are expanded?
